A late Christmas gift from the footwork crew.
Teklife have shared a free compilation album called Teklife VIP that features tracks from a number of contributors including DJ Taye, DJ Paypal, Taso, DJ Tre and Durban.
The 14-track album takes on Sister Nancy’s 1982 classic ‘Bam Bam’ – which was thrust under the spotlight earlier this year after it was sampled on Kanye West’s TLOP song ‘Famous’ – among other cuts.

It’s been a good year for the fledgling label, who – after some delays – announced their arrival in February with a posthumous album from DJ Rashad called Afterlife. This was followed in August by DJ Earl’s Open Your Ears LP, with Oneohtrix Point Never appearing on three of the tracks, and most recently Taso’s New Start album, which dropped earlier this month.
