Manuel Göttsching is to play his first UK gig in over ten years at Glasgow’s Stereo venue on Saturday 11 December.

The guitar and electronics genius, who first rose to prominence as leader of cosmically minded krautrock group Ash Ra Tempel and subsequently released the classic solo album E2-E4 (1984), is no spring chicken at 58 years old, but his work is arguably more relevant than ever, with a new generation of psychedelicists such as Emeralds and Oneohtrix Point Never citing him as an influence (older artists such as Carl Craig, James Murphy and Basic Channel acknowledged their debt a long time ago).

Göttsching has a huge worldwide following, and is used to performing to audiences of thousands; this Glasgow gig – staged by Men And Machines – marks a rare opportunity to hear him playing in an intimate setting. What’s more, tickets are a very reasonable £15. For more information on the show, click here.
