Best Various:

Husky Rescue – Ship of Light
My favorite album of the year. Beautifully dark + atmospheric.

Darwin Deez – Darwin Deez
A ridiculously awesome debut.. And I’m so envious of his production—
It’s simple, concise, and perfectly pop. The whole thing is a joy to listen to.

Asura
He’s an incredibly powerful new talent.
I’m proud to be acquainted with someone who I consider to be one of the most forward-thinking musicians I know.
He and matthewdavid are truly my ‘future music’ pioneers <3

Coco Rosie
Been listening to their two latest albums on constant repeat.
I adore their music. The songs ‘R.I.P. Burn Face’ + ‘Werewolf’…. hits forever.

Gobble Gobble
Cecil, the man behind Gobble Gobble, is a total superhero.
An amazing musician + melodicist who I’ve been happy to get to know this year.
The world is in dire need of his colorful, exciting, and innately joyful wonderland,
and the response to him will grow and grow until he’s headlining every festival in the world.
(Try out ‘Lawn Knives’ for a first taste.)
