Remember Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense? Of course you do. It’s arguably the greatest concert movie ever made.

It bodes well for Ride, Rise, Roar, a new film from chief ‘Head David Byrne, which takes as it subject matter Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, the New York polymath’s 2009 collaboration with Brian Eno (featuring a FACT modern classic in the shape of ‘Strange Overtones’). It captures live performances of the material as well as “intimate details of the creative collaborations that make the music and performance happen”, and promises to be an estimable treat for the Byrne fiends among you.

At 8.45pm on Thursday 20 January, Ride, Rise, Roar will be screening in more than 50 UK cinemas. The one you really want to be at is at the Ritzy Brixton in London, where Byrne will be appearing for a live Q&A following the film. The Q&A will be broadcast live via satellite to the other 49 cinemas.

We’re delighted to be able to offer one lucky FACT reader a pair of tickets to the Ritzy Brixton screening, including entry to the VIP drinks reception beforehand and the live Q&A with Byrne afterwards.

To be entered into the prize draw, simply e-mail your name and the words ‘Ride, Rise, Roar’ to competitions@thevinylfactory.com. The winner will be notified on or before Wednesday 19 January.

Find more information on all the 50 nationwide screenings over at the official Facebook page.
