Scuba seemed to take a bit of shit for his last single, the hands-in-the-air trance banger ‘Adrenalin’, and frankly it was pretty unfair: you can’t expect someone to make eyes down dubstep and techno their whole life.
When Scuba’s new album Personality was announced, we speculated as to whether the title was a reference to it being a bit more euphoric than his previous two full-lengths, and if ‘Flash Addict’, the B-side to Personality‘s first single ‘The Hope’ is anything to go by, then the answer’s yes (though the track itself isn’t on the album). I mean, it sounds like he wrote it while partying on a beach with DJ Harvey. That’s a beautiful thing.
