Julio Bashmore, purveyor of all things bouncy and house-based, is getting ready to activate his new label.

Broadwalk Records will open its doors on July 2 with Bashmore’s punchy ‘Au Seve’. In honour of the forthcoming release, Bashmore is giving away ‘Troglodytes’, a fun-enough slice of discoball house. The track combines a knuckles-to-the-floor stomp, a very naff bit of ‘Thriller’-style recitative and Ecoquest 2 synths. It’s not as nifty as his big hits, but as freebies go it’s alright.
