Noise-punks Wavves are sounding significantly less noisy these days.

Wavves’ contribution to the Adult Swim Singles Program (following singles by FlyLo and The Field, among others) continues the band’s slow drift from fuzzed-out bedroom recordings to Weezer revivalists circa the Blue Album.

Still, Nathan Williams can’t hide is disdain throughout ‘Hippies is Punks.’ Even after its sing-along “oo oo” breakdowns, he sneers: “I remember why I hate you again.” The remaining Singles Program schedule is below.
