Following on from pithy instrumental ‘Right Now’, the California native has offered an insight into his “cassette tape process”. Giveaway ‘Somewhere, Someday’ is a complete demo version of a track from DâM-FunK’s forthcoming Invite The Light LP.  DâM doesn’t really do surprises, and anyone familiar with Toeachizown will know exactly what to expect – expertly executed, faithfully rendered G-funk. All told, itt’s a lovely bit of baked cassette funk.

DâM-FunK is also a talking head in Nelson George’s forthcoming Finding The Funk documentary, alongside the likes of Sly Stone, Mike D and Nile Rodgers.
