The Flying Lotus affiliate releases his debut mixtape, with accompanying visuals.

Since he debuted earlier this year, Captain Murphy has been rumored to be Flying Lotus, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, the Creator, or a combination of the three. The Duality mixtape-cum-video does nothing to elucidate the identity question, but it’s still a hell of a ride: 35 minutes of left-field hip-hop over a jittery collage of B-movie clips, (oc)cult references, and Captain Murphy’s Rick Rossish avatar.

While there’s no tracklist, Duality appears to include Captain Murphy’s previously released material: ‘The Ritual’, TNGHT reworking ‘Shake Weight’, and ‘The Killing Joke’. Stream the mixtape over at Captain Murphy’s website.
