Chicago rockers Pelican have been around for ages now, and there’s something about their louder take on the post-rock form that’s always made them worth checking out.

The band’s forthcoming full-length Forever Becoming will be released on Southern Lord on October 15th, and brand new track ‘The Cliff’ brings to mind a Young Team-era Mogwai jamming with Neurosis, or something like that at least. It’s loud, but you know – with beautiful bits in there just for good measure.
