For 21 years now, Mouse on Mars have been quietly pushing the boundaries of how music is made and perceived, both with their releases and their music production apps.

This year, the duo of Jan St. Werner and Andy Toma celebrate 21 years of music with a new compilation, 21 AGAIN Collaborations, a box-set documenting the group’s history, an LP-format book titled Notes, a two-day festival in Berlin (from October 31 to November 1), the long-awaited release of their WretchUp app, a release of their Peel Sessions and more. For more info, head to their website.

Last year, they took FACT TV’s Against the Clock challenge and completely tore up the format, so this year we set them a harder task: to record a 21-track album, live, in 21 minutes. Did they manage it? Of course they did – watch it above.
