Progress on Flying Lotus’ first full-length feature film Kuso ramps up with his announcement that he’s cast Hannibal Buress and Tim Heidecker of Tim & Eric fame. FlyLo says he’s gotten Heidecker “to play the creepiest character he’s played thus far.”
Kuso, a film about post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, is the biggest from FlyLo’s brand new Brainfeeder Films and stars George Clinton and Workaholics’s Anders Holm. It follows his directorial debut Royal, which he screened over the summer at Sundance’s LA-based NEXT Festival. His goal is to be finished with Kuso before Sundance 2017.
If that’s not enough to get excited about, FlyLo’s enlisted Aphex Twin, Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka, Thundercat and his own rap alter-ego Captain Murphy alter ego for new work for the soundtrack.
So dope! @timheidecker @hannibalburess and @donnellrawlings are in KUSO!! Film is almost done now!
