The original plan for Modeselektor’s new album, according to today’s press release, was to keep it secret until day of release.

The current plan, apparently, is pretty close to the opposite: the Berlin duo have just uploaded 45 seconds of each track from Monkeytown to their Soundcloud, including collaborations with Thom Yorke and Busdriver. On another note, we’d love to see a big name pull off Modeselektor’s original plan, but we guess between pre-orders, distribution processes and the internet, it’s not easy.
