Brackles will release his debut album in May.

The London-based producer, who first made a name for himself while based in Nottingham, will release the album through Rinse, who have hosted Brackles’ radio show for the last several years.

On top of holding down a show on Rinse, Brackles co-runs the Blunted Robots label with Shortstuff, which despite being quiet of late, released some seminal singles during that 2008-2009 period where dubstep dropped its tempo and became something else entirely (Martin Kemp’s ‘No Charisma’ and ‘Into the Night’, Bok Bok’s ‘Citizens Dub’). His album is a Rinse presents… affair along the same lines as Roska’s and Royal T’s full-lengths, and will be released on May 7.

Terri Walker and Lily McKenzie both make guest appearances. In other Brackles news, he recently recorded a smashing old school garage mix for Lovebox, which can be streamed here.
