Turner Prize winning artist Martin Creed is set to release a new album.

Titled LOVE TO YOU, Creed’s album is a “collection of 18 love and hate songs”, with a total running time of less than 40 minutes. It features ditties such as ‘Fuck Off’, ‘Die’ and ‘What’s the Point of It?’ and will be released as a heavyweight vinyl special edition through The Vinyl Factory, with a super glossy cover, full colour inner sleeve and poster. Moshi Moshi will be handling the regular CD and digital release.

Creed won the Turner Prize in 2001 for the infamous Work No. 227: the lights going on and off, which was effectively an empty room in which – you guessed it – the lights went on and off. This isn’t Creed’s first venture into music: his past band Owada released an album, Nothing, in 1997, and sound – in the form of metronomes, doorbells and more – has frequently featured in his artwork. In 2000, he published a recordings of songs written by him – this, however, marks his first full album as Martin Creed with his current band.

The Vinyl Factory’s special edition of LOVE TO YOU is available to pre-order now, and will be released on July 2.
