As we recently reported, Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe was last month arrested and charged with the manslaughter of a Czech fan.

The singer was arrested on June 27 at Prague airport, pertaining to the death of a fan after the band performed in the city in 2010. It is alleged that, when the fan rushed the stage, Blythe pushed him back into the crowd where he fell and hit his head. The fan died some days later in hospital.

Blythe has today been released on bail after a month in custody, footing a bill of around 8 million Czech Koruna (almost £250,000) in order to gain his freedom. He is allowed to return to the US, but will still have to face trial in the Czech Republic.

In a statement released shortly after the arrest, the band stated that they were “working endlessly behind the scenes to provide any and all assistance possible” for Blythe, and requested that supporters consider donating to the singer’s legal fund – you can do that here.
