As the Obama campaign reveals “DJs for Obama,” Spin connects the financial dots to reveal a different picture.

As Spin points out, Las Vegas magnate Steve Wynn is reportedly a major donor to Crossroads GPS, a right-wing Super PAC founded by Republican political strategist Karl Rove. Wynn’s resorts – XS, Surrender, Tryst, and Encore Beach Club – are notable for their residencies by EDM headliners David Guetta, Skrillex, Afrojack, Deadmau5, Tiësto, Steve Angello, Diplo, and Steve Aoki.

While neither Wynn’s alleged donations to Crossroads (reportedly in the millions) nor his profits from the EDM boom are publicly available, it’s not difficult to connect the two.

This report comes as the Obama campaign released a “DJs for Obama” video featuring DJ Cassidy, D-Nice, DJ Rashida, DJ Irie, DJ Adam 12, and Wynn-resident Aoki.
