All’s fair in love and king-sized house anthems though, and the man who makes them better than most, Julio Bashmore, has uploaded audio of a new single, ‘Husk’.

Due on Broadwalk Records, his own label, it follows up ‘Au Seve’, one of the most-circulated UK house tracks of the Summer. This time, things feel a bit more urgent – the main riff is still luxurious in the way that the best Bashmore ones are, but the build-up to it fills up the grid with racks on racks of drums, and we’re always down with some frazzled flute.
