Björk treated with "hi tech lazer stuff" for vocal polyps

The Icelandic iconoclast undergoes successful treatment.

Via her Facebook page, Björk tells fans that after trying to heal polyps on her vocals cords the natural way (with “stretches and tackled it with different foods and what not” for four years), she recently opted for laser surgery (or “hi tech lazer stuff”, in her words).

After staying quiet for three weeks, she feels like her vocal cords are “are as good as pre nodule,” saying “it’s been very satisfying to sing all them clear notes again.” As Pitchfork reports, the nodules had caused her to cancel shows in Europe and South America earlier this year.
