In yet another rap-related firearms incident, French Montana‘s tour bus came under fire last night outside a hotel in Philadelphia.

After finishing a show at local venue the Theatre of Living Arts, Montana headed to the Holiday Inn Express greeting a group of fans who were waiting outside. According to witnesses it was at this point that a gunman drove by and opened fire.

Two men were hit; one 27-year-old was shot in the abdomen and died later in hospital and the other was shot in the shoulder and is now stable. Authorities have already commented that they don’t think Montana or his entourage were the targets in the shooting, but it still manages to get lumped in with this year’s spate of gun-related controversy; from Rick Ross being the alleged target of a gang in Miami to his associate Young Scrilla being shot and hospitalized last weekend.

This can’t be a good week for Montana, who has already managed to come under scrutiny earlier for co-signing precocious Boston child-rapper Lil Poopy while the boy’s father is being investigated on child abuse charges. [via Allhiphop]
