After his recent brush with death, rapper Lil Wayne has publicly spoken on the incident in depth for the first time.

While Weezy initially blamed his “work ethic” for the seizures that led him to the ICU, on an interview with LA Radio station Power 106, the rapper stated that in fact he has epilepsy, and the incident was far from his first encounter with seizures. “This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh seizure,” Wayne stated. “I’ve had a bunch of seizures. Y’all just never hear about them. But this time, it got real bad because I had three of them in a row.”

Wayne went on to say that usually his entourage would be able to deal with the fits without issue, but since the three seizures led to a massive drop in his heart rate, this time was different.
