Earl Sweatshirt hits studio with King Krule, members of Warpaint and Jagwar Ma

Odd Future Indie Gang?

While he’s worked mostly in the bubble of underground hip-hop, Earl Sweatshirt has always hinted at the type of open-minded approach that once landed Tyler, The Creator in the studio with Miley Cyrus.

Not to be outdone, the Odd Future prodigy has hit the studio with teenaged crooner King Krule, Theresa Wayman and Stella Mozgawa of dream-rockers Warpaint, and Jono Ma of psyche-act Jagwar Ma for a “12 hour all night recording session” in the studio of Stones Throw talent Jonti.

As Pitchfork reports, there is logic to the seemingly random collection of artists: Earl and Krule have recorded together previously, while Warpaint and Jagwar Ma have worked on each other’s albums. Photos from the session are below, via Sydney management company Astral People.
