Skream announces 'Still Lemonade' 12" ahead of album on Crosstown Rebels

The producer born Oliver Jones shifts deeper into house and techno.

Marking his steady ascent in the land of the superstar DJ, Skream has announced a single and album on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels.

The former dubstep pioneer will drop ‘Still Lemonade’ on the house and techno-focused imprint on February 23, backed with a remix from Berlin-based DJ and producer Redshape.

“‘Still Lemonade’ was the first track I finished in a long time that felt completely happy with and ready to play out,” says Jones. “I didn’t tell anyone it was by me when I first started playing it and the reaction was explosive. [It’s] a perfect example of the direction I’m taking with my productions.”

The 12″ comes ahead of his full-length album on Crosstown Rebels later this year, as the label points out. Hear it in the YouTube clip below (which was ripped last year but appears to be the same version) and see the artwork underneath.

Last year Skream gave an in-depth interview with FACT, talking about the scourge of EDM and how he finally got back into the producing game. Watch the accompanying video interview on FACT TV.
