The tiny indie label who tried to buy UKIP’s domain name are back for revenge.

After a failed attempt to buy UKIP’s domain name in January, London label Alcopop! Records have announced a parody 7″ single taking a swipe at the policies of the party’s leader Nigel Farage.

As attempts at satirical songs go, it’s actually pretty clever – according to the label, ‘The Wit & Wisdom of Nigel Farage’ is “fully groove cut” and “short of a few natural crackles or pops, will play only silence.” The B-side features a remix from Enter Shikari member Rou, which features the sound of dripping taps, seagulls and ambient noise, or what the Alcopop! crew “imagine Mr. Farage has in his head.”

The record is inspired by Stiff Records’ 1980 record The Wit & Wisdom of Ronald Reagan, which took aim at the then US presidential candidate in much the same way. As the label says: “This is not a vinyl affiliated with any other political parties. This is more of a message to showcase what the label think of the UKIP leader.”

Alcopop! originally came up against Farage earlier this year. The label tried to buy UKIP’s domain name after it expired but failed when the domain name registrar gave it back. “Go Daddy seem to have given it back to those fascist bastards,” the label wrote at the time, “and no sign of a refund. Genuinely gutted. We’ll be back Farage…”

If you want to support the label’s ongoing crusade against Farage you can pre-order the single from the Alcopop! store now. “A hearty proportion” of the profits will go to The Migrants Rights Network, and there’s even a T-shirt should you want to make your feelings clear in the run up to the general election next month.
