Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill and drugs charges.

Rudd was due to appear in Tauranga District Court in New Zealand today but changed his plea to guilty before the trial began. The embattled former stickman was arrested in November following an incident on September 26. Police allege Rudd called a man that he had previously employed and threatened to kill both him and his daughter.

Rudd was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and cannabis. The drug charges were laid after police executed a search warrant at Rudd’s home on November 6. Rudd had 0.71g of methamphetamine and 130g of cannabis in his possession, according to police.

Rudd was charged with attempting to procure a murder when he first appeared in court back in November, but that charge was dropped the following day.

AC/DC have replaced Rudd with former drummer Chris Slade for the upcoming Rock or Bust tour.

Rudd will be sentenced on June 26. [via Sydney Morning Herald]
