Watch Jay Z dissing YouTube and Spotify at last night’s Tidal gig

By , May 17 2015

Yesterday (May 16) Jay Z became Jaÿ-Z for the night, and held a special concert of rarities and B-sides.

The event was streaming on his Tidal streaming service only, and it seems as if he had a few choice words to say to his competitors during one of the several freestyles that peppered his performance.

“I feel like YouTube is the biggest culprit, Them n****s pay you a tenth of what you supposed to get,” he told the audience of Tidal subscribers. “My own lane, same difference, Oh n****s is skeptical about they own shit… Spotify worth nine billion and they ain’t say shit!”

Jay Z also paid his respects to the late B.B. King during the show, where he held a minute’s silence in honour of the blues legend’s passing this week. You can watch the freestyle above, ironically enough, via YouTube, or rewatch the whole thing at Tidal. [via NME]
