Eminem freestyles on Shade 45.

Eminem appeared on Shade 45 today to promote the film Southpaw (he’s executive producing the soundtrack) and used most of his time to perform a ridiculous 8-minute freestyle. It’s full of wacky and bizarre lines that seem to address wildly different eras of pop culture, for example Donald Trump and Bill Cosby are referenced, but so are Andrew Dice Clay and Amanda Bynes.

Since this is Em (and a freestyle) it’s unsurprising that there are a few absurdly offensive lines, but what is surprising are the moments where he catches himself. A dirty riff about Caitlyn Jenner gets followed with “No disrespect though, not at all, no pun intended — that took a lot of balls’. It even ends with a few comments from Eminem about how nothing he’s said is personal and simply is “coming off the dome”, as he puts it. Listen below.
