The Awful Records secret weapons returns.

Dexter Dukarus has been on a tear this year, producing impressive projects with contemporaries Archibald Slim, Slug Christ, Stalin Majesty and Pollari.

His latest, Display None, is another short-but-sweet tour through Dexter’s haunted laboratory. The producer enlists Pyramid Quince (‘Keep It Up’) and Lord Narf (‘Free My Jack’, his favorite of the EP); pairs KeithCharles Spacebar and Archibald on the angsty ‘My Bitch’; and teams Slug Christ with Stalin Majesty on the sludgy ‘Up’. Unlike some rap projects, none of the features feel haphazard.

As stylized on the artwork, Display None is the code that hides elements in CSS (Dukarus is also a web designer). It’s fitting: Dexter might have been a hidden talent in Awful when we first covered them, but his productive year is changing all that.
