Update: Bobby Shmurda’s attempt to post his bond was denied, according to TMZ. His next court date is next month.

The New York rapper’s family comes up with collateral for his bond.

Bobby Shmurda could be released from prison as early as Thursday, according to TMZ.

The rapper’s family has come forward with collateral — including several properties owned by his aunt — for his $2 million bond. Sources close to TMZ say that the rapper’s legal team have put together a “bulletproof” 200-page document that details the sources of the money.

Shmurda was arrested last year on conspiracy, weapon and drug charges. Earlier in 2014, he signed to Epic Records on the strength of single ‘Hot Nigga’.
