Discogs has refreshed its record store database.

VinylHub was first launched last year with the aim of documenting every physical record store on the planet. Described as “Discogs for record shops,” the database aims to provide “an accurate listing of all record shops, useful to diggers and travellers everywhere.”

While it maintains the no-frills look we saw previously, the relaunched database now catalogues record fairs and pop-up stores as well as the locations of notable former outlets. Currently the directory has information on 4,637 stores.

Discogs will launch a new application for iOS and Android devices next year. [via RA]
