Showtime offers a new update for eager fans.

You may have been disappointed by the news that David Lynch’s Twin Peaks was pushed back to its original 2017 release, but the latest update from Showtime President David Nevins is at least good news.

“I’m excited to tell you that David Lynch is now more than halfway through his shooting schedule, and the limited series will premiere in the first half of 2017,” said Nevins during a Television Critics Association presentation last night. He added that he watched 24 minutes of the series while in the editing room and called the results “stupendous”. Considering Nevins is the President of the network, he probably will say that either way, but we’re willing to take his word in this case. [via Deadline]
