Hear a rare interview dating back to 1992 with man himself.

Aphex Twin interviews are always an event, but it’s even more exciting to hear from the beloved producer in his early days. That’s what Electronic Beats unearthed today with this 1992 interview taken from the German radio DT64 show “Dancehall”. It gives a glimpse of the Richard D. James as a 20-year-old.

In the interview, which starts around 38:00 in the stream below, he explains he’s been making music since 13, but only been releasing records for one year. As he puts it, now he’s just trying to get all of the stockpiled material out — clearly some things never change.
