Disconest also finds the musical key and time signature for your vinyl collection.

Finding the BPMs for all of your records is a laborious task, especially if you’re a vinyl DJ without Traktor or Serato to do the legwork for you.

As The Vinyl Factory notes, there’s now an online app to make the process a lot easier. Disconest pulls the metadata from every record on Discogs and combines it with information on Echonest to give you the key, time signature and BPM of most tracks.

This site lets you check the BPM for all your records

There are a few gaps in the system’s knowledge, but it’s definitely easier than ripping your vinyl and putting it through Ableton Live. Try it here, and when you’ve finished with that, check out a virtual crate digging experience for your browser.
