Yes, there’s a fucking headset.

Not content with raking in millions of dollars from stadium performances, masked EDM dingus Deadmau5 has teamed with Absolut Labs (an offshoot of the popular vodka brand Absolut) to make a VR video game cleverly entitled Absolut deadmau5.

Saddled with new music from Deadmau5 (who else?), the game allows the player to full immerse themselves in the world of the superstar producer and DJ, driving through the chilly Toronto streets, petting his cat Meowingtons, attempting to get shows and, of course, standing alongside the DJ as he plays in front of countless braying NPC fans. Whether there will be a special bonus stage where you get to witness him talking shit on social media or retreating to YouPorn for a salty handshake, we can’t confirm – but this is virtual reality, right?

We know what you’re thinking: “how can you have a Deadmau5 game without a Mickey Mou… funny mouse headset?” Luckily, Absolut Labs have thought of everything, and the game is set to come with a cardboard headset designed by Mr. Mau5 himself. You can buy the piece of cardboard for the reasonable price of $17.95 and since it’s limited edition, you’d better get your pre-order in, we wouldn’t want you to miss out.

Absolut deadmau5 will be available for iOS and Android on July 27. [via Polygon]
