The grime overlord keeps us on our toes as usual.

Just a few hours after stunning fans with the announcement of a Boiler Room performance tomorrow  (January 12), Wiley has pulled a Wiley and backed out of the show.

The promise of a livestreamed Wiley set lasted barely six hours before he mysteriously cancelled.

A Boiler Room engineer told FACT they were working hard to fix the situation: “We’re all massive Wiley fans who want this to come off, and moving to reschedule the date with The Godfather ASAP.”

Wiley will finally release his new album The Godfather this week, but he’s said it could be his last.

“This is my last album, in theory,” he told Noisey. “You know, Wiley the brand, you’re not going to see me trying to cane the arse out of tens of Wileys, you will not. I’ll always use my money to do other, smart things.”

Oh well, at least we have this recording of Wiley and Slimzee reunited on Rinse last year. Listen below.
