The band celebrate their 40th anniversary this year.

Wire have announced the new album Silver/Lead, the fifteenth for the seminal post-punk band that delivered classics such as Pink Flag and Chairs Missing.

The unveiling kicks off Wire’s “extensive celebration” of its 40th anniversary this year. The band have also shared the album’s lead single, a catchy feedback drench punk tune titled ‘Short Elevated Period’.
