LAPD confirm.

Police have responded to a call that a prowler was found at one of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s homes in Los Angeles, but in the midst of an investigation, it was discovered to be SWATTING, not an actual home invasion.

SWATTING is the “practice of making a prank call to emergency services in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.”

In this case, according to the Southern California Monitoring Association’s Twitter account, a call was made to the LAPD that a staff member at West’s home had been shot and, according to police scanner, the suspect had been shot by authorities.

When officers reportedly arrived at West and Kardashian’s home, the caller on the line to the LAPD disconnected. It has been confirmed with the LAPD that there was no crime at the home.
