Mary Anne Hobbs’ run as the host of Radio 1’s experimental show ended last night with a guest mix from Kode9 and Burial.

The Sheffield-bred DJ, who has worked for Radio 1 for 14 years, and whose late night show gave a platform to myriad artists who would usually never be grated mainstream radio exposure, had claimed earlier in the day that the final mix on her show would be by “Prince, Madonna, Aphex Twin or Burial” and was true to her word, the formally anonymous Londoner, whose Burial and Untrue albums rank among the greatest of the last ten years, stepping out with his mentor and Hyperdub label-boss Kode9.

There’s no tracklisting for their mix [scrap that, Kode9 just put one on Twitter] but elsewhere in the show Hobbs plays a mixture of new and classic material from Vex’d, Claro Intelecto, new LuckyMe signing Jacques Greene, Ikonika and more.
