Croatia’s Echo Festival has announced a handful of new artists.
Dial’s John Roberts is our pick of the new additions. 2010’s Glass Eights was a gem of a house album, full of classical flourishes, gilded timbres and a sense of poise from top to tail. With a follow-up due later this year, expect a charming set from the US producer. Masked marauder Redshape has also been added to the bill. The German producer has been turning out hypnotic, Detroit-facing techno since the mid 2000s, and, as exemplified on his great The Dance Paradox LP, he’s a reliably canny and classy operator. Minus regular Magda will now appear, as will minimal producer Audio Werner.
They join the likes of Nick Höppner, dBridge, Space Dimension Controller, Delano Smith, Petre Inspirescu, Marcus Intalex, xxxy, South London Ordnance, October, Locked Groove and Outboxx. Echo runs from June 6-9. Tickets and further information are available here.
