Danny Brown’s been on a winning streak recently and it continues with this mesmerizing new video for ‘Jealousy’.

The track appeared earlier this year on London producer The Purist’s blaxploitation-inspired TR-ill EP, and the video is one of the best we’ve seen this year, probably worth watching even if you’ve already heard had ‘Jealousy’ on repeat since January.

Made to look like a fourth generation pirated copy of a Karaoke VCD, we’re treated to cheap 3D animation that looks like it’s straight out of Myst (if Myst featured large models of Danny Brown’s head…) and a colour palette that would make Daniel Lopatin blush, with Brown’s lyrics lovingly (and accurately) transcribed for the ultimate sing-along experience. It’s all surprisingly well done, and fits weirdly appropriately with the Biggie-sampling cut, we’re not quite sure why, though. [via Noisey]
