The band also announce a London launch show in December.

British electronic trio Darkstar recently revealed plans to release a pair of remix EPs featuring new versions of tracks from their excellent 2013 album News From Nowhere. To mark the release of the first 12″, they’re giving away their ‘Young Hearts’ remix as a free download, which you can grab below.

The first of the EPs is out on Warp next Monday, October 14. Titled 01484, a reference to the dialling code for the area of northern England where they recorded the album, it features their own remixes of album tracks ‘Young Hearts’ and ‘Armonica’, plus German producer Motor City Drum Ensemble’s remix of ‘A Day’s Pay for a Day’s Work’ on the flip.

01484 will be followed by a second remix 12″ titled HD7 – after the same area’s postcode – in November, which will feature a remix from masked producer Zomby alongside two more remixes from the band.

The band have also announced a gig at Corsica Studios in London on December 4 to preview their new live show – tickets for that event, organised by Eat Your Own Ears and Bleed, are available here.

Earlier in the year FACT met with the trio and their producer Richard Formby to discuss the making of their tape-soaked, glitch-pop second album.
