FACT is looking for a tech-savvy news writer to join our UK team, full time. 

We’re looking for somebody who reads FACT regularly, and is already familiar with the website’s tone and structure. Candidates should have taste in music that covers a wide range of different scenes, styles and genres, and adept at covering all of them.

Crucially, we’re looking for someone who’s hungry, and dedicated to covering news first and covering it well. Candidates should already consider themselves up on what’s going on in the world of music, both mainstream and underground, and should be able to break stories based on what’s happening on social networks and pre-order lists – not just press releases.

For this position, it’s vital that you’re passionate about the world of music tech: a key part of your job will be keeping abreast of developments in that field, and you should have the ability and connections to review new music software and tech to a high standard, soon after or ahead of when it’s available.
