The New York label celebrated 10 years with a packed lineup at the intimate Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg
The label Moodgadget have been going strong for a decade now, and late last month they invited friends, old and new, to perform sets throughout the night. In addition to a DJ set from Chrome Sparks, it featured performances by 18 Carat Affair, Teeel, D Gookin, Beautiful Bells, and a late night performance from Mirror Kisses whose frontman George Clanton approaches hypnagogic pop with the same raging intensity as John Maus. Check out photos from FACT’s Maxwell Schiano in the following pages.
In addition to their anniversary show the label also celebrated its 100th release, a new compilation showcasing all of their artists. Listen to that on Soundcloud and watch a brand new video for AceMo’s ‘Other Places’ inspired by The Memphis Group.
