“I’m dragging these hoes like Harambe did the kid.”

Nicki Minaj has cemented her comeback with a tough-as-nails new track.

‘The Pinkprint Freestyle’ sees Minaj rap over Brooklyn MC Young MA’s recent breakthrough hit ‘Ooouuu’, characteristically switching up the tone of her voice to roll out different accents. She quotes M.I.A’s ‘Paper Planes’ at one point in the six-minute song and martyred gorilla Harambe even gets a mention.

Minaj, who was one of last year’s highest paid rappers, urged fans to “listen all the way through to the end.” As the track plays out to a monster of a dancehall riddim, sampling Shabba Ranks’ ‘Ting-A-Ling’, you’d do well to follow her advice.

Revisit our review of The Pinkprint, Minaj’s last full-length (2014), which spawned several hit singles including ‘Only, ‘Anaconda,’ and ‘Truffle Butter.’
