The Atlanta rapper unveils his latest project.

Originally envisioned as an album, Pollari has changed course and released Jesus Wept as a five-song EP. Album or not, Jesus Wept is a moody continuation of the sound he explored on his Sonya and Lucy EPs.

Jesus Wept kicks off with two minor-keyed collaborations with Awful’s Dexter Dukarus (including a feature by Goth Money’s Black Kray) and closes with a pair of digitally-warped tracks with production from Atlanta heavyweights 808 Mafia.

The title track sets the tone for the EP, as Pollari balances boasts with vulnerability over Dexter’s melancholy beatcraft. “The song is about my life,” Pollari explains over email. “In a way, it’s my testament.” Stream Jesus Wept below.
