Grime MCs to star in Rocky’s latest creative endeavour.

New York rapper A$AP Rocky has revealed to The Guardian that he shot a short film featuring Skepta, Novelist and London’s Piff Gang alongside Dangermouse, who co-produced his latest album, and Michele Lamy, Rick Owen’s wife.

The film was produced by Rocky’s creative team AWGE. There no details as to when it might be released but the move marks yet another link between London’s grime scene and American hip-hop following co-signs and collaborations for both MCs with Kanye and Drake.

Recently, A$AP Rocky made his acting debut in Dope, a coming-of-age comedy.

You can read read the full feature over at The Guardian, which also includes Rocky speaking about his Rod Stewart collaboration, describing meeting the veteran artist as “like seeing yourself 30 or 40 years older and white,” and that altercation in a London bagel shop.
