Modeselektor’s label will bow out with a run of EPs collected in a box set.

As reported earlier this month, Berlin imprint 50Weapons will close its doors at the end of this year. The label launched in 2006 by Modeselektor had always planned to cease operations once it had released “fifty weapons.” The label will shut down following a run of eleven EPs that will be collected in a box set titled RIP 50Weapons.

The final EPs collect tunes from a variety of techno acts including Shed, Marcel Dettmann, Zenker Brothers, Rødhåd, Bambounou and Margaret Dygas, Monolake and Benjamin Damage.

RIP 50Weapons will be released in an 11×12″ package that also includes a USB loaded with digital versions of the tracks. The box set will be released in October, with the individual EPs scheduled to arrive throughout October, November and December. Further information on RIP 50Weapons is available on the label’s website. [via RA]
