Quantum synthesis.

German synth manufacturer Waldorf has unveiled its latest instrument, a hybrid eight-voice polysynth called Quantum.

The synth was shown ahead of this week’s Musikmesse show in Frankfurt, where Sonicstate got a sneak preview. It features digital oscillators that can be switched between traditional waveform, wavetable, particle sampling and resonator modes.

Quantum also features analog filters, effects and a generous screen as well as audio inputs for sampling audio into the wavetable. There’s no release date or price yet, but Waldorf is aiming to release the synth in Q4 2017.
