Scuba, a Berlin based dubstep veteran who’s long been a reference point for the dubstep/techno crossover sound associated with producers like Martyn and 2562, will release a new five-track EP next month.
Titled Aesuanic, it features five new productions from the Hotflush label boss and marks his highest profile release since last year’s full-length album A Mutual Antipathy. It features some of his very best work to date: the Hard Wax garage of the EP’s title track and the space station half-step of ‘Reverse’ should find admirers in fans of Surgeon, October and Shortstuff’s more cerebral tracks, while the creaking ‘Golden’ could be a lost collaboration between Burial and Instra:mental.
Aesuanic will be released on October 12 via Hotflush.
