We do like Detachments here at FACT, but it’s fair to say that we can find the London post-punk act – who’ve already worked with Andrew Weatherall, Trevor Jackson and James Ford in their short lifespan – a bit testing vocally.

Lucky for us then, that the group’s new single, ‘H.A.L.’ features three solutions to our problem:

1. A B-side vocalled entirely by Heather from Salem
2. A remix by Ikonika
3. A vocal-less, dub remix by Andrew Weatherall

Talk about a result. If you’re not salivating already then you will be when you hear said Weatherall remix; the legendary UK producer and DJ stirring ‘H.A.L”s angled chords into an extended punk-funk maelstrom. Download it below.
